Arsenal XI vs Leicester: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game today

Arsenal have named an unchanged team to face Leicester in the Premier League today.

However, Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both fit enough for a place on the bench after returning to training at London Colney this week.

Fabio Vieira did likewise, but there is still no place in Mikel Arteta’s matchday squad for the £34million summer signing as his wait for a competitive debut goes on.

“They have been reintegrated into training this week, all of them,” Arteta told reporters of the trio at his pre-match press conference on Friday. “They are in different phases, but some of them will be in the squad.”

Kieran Tierney has also been struggling for fitness as he works his way back from a serious knee injury, however he came off the bench in last week’s win over Crystal Palace and remains a substitute today.

“He played 20 minutes last weekend and he did really well,” said Arteta. “He has been out for a long time after the knee injury.

“But he looks in perfect condition now and ready to go.”

Reiss Nelson drops out of Arsenal’s matchday squad against Leicester as he deals with a thigh issue.

Arsenal starting XI: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Martinelli

Subs: Tierney, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Holding, Tomiyasu, Pepe, Sambi Lokonga, Elneny, Turner

Today 3pm BST

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Referee: Darren England

Injured: Nelson (quad), Vieira (foot)
