Jack Wilshere has returned to the Arsenal XI for his first start at the club in 16 months in tonight’s EFL Cup tie against Doncaster.

But the third round tie will represent his first start at Arsenal since a 4-1 win over Aston Villa on the final day of the 2015-16 season.

Alexis Sanchez also starts as the forward continues to rebuild his match fitness following a delayed return during pre-season.

Wenger has once more rotated his side from that which drew 0-0 at Chelsea.
