Olivier Giroud has fired a warning at Arsene Wenger after saying he will not settle for a place on the bench next season.
The Arsenal striker was restricted to a mainly substitute role last term as Wenger opted to play Alexis Sanchez up front, with the move paying off as the Chile star scored 24 Premier League goals and created 10 others for the Gunners.
Despite playing second fiddle to Sanchez, Giroud still managed to net 12 league goals and get three assists and recently expressed his desire to stay at Arsenal and help fire the Gunners to the Premier League title next season.
The 30-year-old - who only signed a new deal at Arsenal in January - has once again reiterated his ambition to lift the English top-flight trophy at Arsenal, but said he wants to do so having played regularly for the north Londoners next term.
"I still have two or even three years on my contract with Arsenal," Giroud told a press conference ahead of France's World Cup qualifier against Sweden on Friday.
"My future is there, I feel good about it. I want to win the Premier League with the club. After, I do not know the future, it will be necessary to take into account the transfer window.
"I have had limited playing time for several reasons but that is not to say that I lost the confidence of the coach."
He then went on to say: "I will not be content with limited playing time next season.
"It [a transfer] will be a well-thought out decision. But, yes, I want more playing time."
