Antonio Rudiger has made his first appearance as a Chelsea player after being brought on against Inter Milan in Singapore.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte substituted on the defender in the 55th minute of the Blues' friendly clash against Inter on Saturday to hand him his debut for the Blues.

Rudiger joined Chelsea from Roma on a five-year deal in a deal worth about £34m in July, but was given an extended break after helping world champions Germany lift the Confederations Cup a week earlier.

He joined up with his new teammates in Singapore this week, and was then seen undergoing an individual training session ahead of Chelsea's glamour friendly against Bayern Munich on Tuesday - a game the Premier League champions lost 3-2.

The 24-year-old had his first training session with the Chelsea team on Friday before being named as a sub in Conte's squad for the clash against Inter.

After coming on against the Italian side in the second half at the National Stadium in Singapore on Saturday, Rudiger replaced Marcos Alonso and slotted into central defence with Cesar Azpilicueta taking up the right wing-back role and Victor Moses the left wing-back position.
