West Ham are unlikely to consider any bids for club-record signing Andy Carroll.

Reports this morning suggested the striker could return to Newcastle after a difficult spell in east London.

Carroll has been limited to just 15 Premier League appearances for West Ham since completing a £15million move to the club in 2013 after being plagued by a series of injuries.

But despite his problems, Carroll remains a key member of Sam Allardyce’s squad and the club will resist any bids for the 25-year-old England international.
