Bayern Munich teenage sensation Alphonso Davies has once again left the footballing world in awe of his blistering pace, with both Gary Lineker and Romelu Lukaku heaping praise on the full-back.

With the prolific Erling Haaland looking certain to put Borussia Dortmund ahead during Tuesday's Bundesliga clash, Davies - who signed a five-year contract extension with the German giants in April - somehow raced back to make an impressive last-ditch recovery.

Davies - who started his career in a more attacking role as a winger - reportedly registered a speed of 35.3km/h (21.9mph) when chasing back, according to Bundesliga statistics.

The Canadian's incredible display of speed caught the attention of Gary Lineker, who Tweeted: "What a fabulous talent Alphonso Davies is.

"So rapid and intelligent whether going forward or backwards."

Former Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku was also impressed, describing Davies as a "cheatcode."

Davies has become a regular for Bayern this season, making his 24th Bundesliga appearance of the campaign in Dortmund.

But it was his performance against Chelsea in the Champions League that saw the world stand up and take notice.

The 19-year-old dominated the right flank from the off, showing several glimpses of his sheer pace before impressively setting up Robert Lewandowksi to score in what ended a draw.
