Manchester United's Premier League trophy parade will begin at Old Trafford on Monday before reaching its conclusion in Albert Square later in the evening.

Sir Alex Ferguson and his players will attend a send-off event at Old Trafford at 1800, with the United manager - who announced his retirement today - due to address the crowd prior to departure.

Their open-topped bus is due to leave at 1830, with the event due to finish at 2000, after the squad have made their way into the city.

It is anticipated significantly more people will attend than those who braved heavy rain to acclaim United's record 19th title two years ago.

Club chief executive David Gill said: "Winning a 20th league title is a huge achievement for the club and we are excited to be able to share this special moment with our fans.

"The support from the fans has been incredible this season and we're looking forward to celebrating with them during the trophy parade."
