EU probe saga over Formula One

The European Commission have ended their lengthy investigation into how motor racing is run.

They had objected to the close links between the FIA, motor sport's regulatory body, and Formula One Administration, the company who market the rights to Formula One races.

But EC competition commissioner Mario Monti declared that changes to the marketing and broadcasting arrangements surrounding motor sport were satisfactory.
