Dyson up with leading bunch

Simon Dyson's four-under-par 68 put the Englishman into a five-way tie for third place after the first round of the Volvo Masters of Asia in Kuala Lumpur. Indian Jyoti Randhawa led after a nine-under 63.

Defending champion Robert Allenby had a sixunderpar 66 to take the clubhouse lead in the Australian Masters at Huntingdale in Melbourne. Twice winner Bradley Hughes was seven under for 11 holes when a thunderstorm forced play to be suspended.

Ernie Els set the early pace with an opening round of 67 in the Dunhill Championship at Malelane, South Africa, today. Els led by one from fellow South African James Kamte and England's Neil Cheetham.
