Duo ruled out of Melbourne Test

Alan Quinlan and Luke Fitzgerald have been ruled out of Ireland's one-off Test against Australia on Saturday.

Back-row Quinlan (thigh) and centre Fitzgerald (ankle) have both been receiving intensive treatment but the game against the Wallabies in Melbourne will come too soon.

Stephen Ferris has already linked up with the squad in Australia, but the Irish Rugby Union have confirmed they will not be calling up further cover for Fitzgerald.
