Dons look at Plough Lane

13 April 2012

Wimbledon have had talks with Merton Council about returning to Plough Lane after their proposed move to Milton Keynes was blocked by the Football League.

Dons chairman Charles Koppel said: "Plough Lane will be properly investigated. It's far too early to tell if it will be viable and Milton Keynes is still on the cards and can't be ignored."

Wimbledon Independent Supporters' Association spokesman Marc Jones said: "The answer has been under our noses all along and it's Plough Lane. We're delighted the club and the council are now looking into it."

And Kevin Cooper, who scored twice in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Gillingham, added: "Going home to Wimbledon would be great for everyone."
