Czech out new Repka

Alan Pardew believes that Tomas Repka is playing well enough to resurrect his international career.

Repka has played 46 times for his country but has been overlooked recently.

The combative defender has been outstanding for West Ham this season and Pardew said: "The Czech Republic should be aware that he is playing so well."

Repka has been booked more than 40 times since joining West Ham from Fiorentina in 2001 but Pardew said: "Tomas has changed his mentality and we gave him a standing ovation in the team meeting this week in recognition of that.

"At QPR he was pushed into some hoardings during the match. In the past he would have reacted but this time he got up as if nothing had happened."

Teddy Sheringham miss the visit of Stoke with a thigh strain and Matthew Etherington (ankle) faces a late test.
