Alex Hales and Jake Ball have been ruled out of England's opening One Day International against West Indies in Antigua.

Captain Eoin Morgan confirmed the pair would miss Friday's limited-overs match, with Sam Billings primed to open with Jason Roy.

Hales is still recovering from the broken hand suffered in the one-day series against India in January, but it is hoped he will be available for selection for the second match of the tour at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Sunday.
