Clarke gets England call

13 April 2012

Surrey all-rounder Rikki Clarke was today named as the replacement for injured Paul Collingwood in England's much-changed squad for the ICC Champions' Trophy tournament in Sri Lanka.

The 20-year-old, who has played a major part in Surrey's march to the brink of the championship title, was called up today after Durham all-rounder Collingwood withdrew from the squad with a neck problem.

Clarke is the third alternative choice to England's original squad after Andrew Flintoff and Darren Gough were both forced to withdraw through injury and replaced by Sussex's James Kirtley and Ian Blackwell from Somerset.
