Chambers hits them for six

After five false starts, Britain's Dwain Chambers kept his nerve to win the 100 metres at the "Live 2001" meeting in Nuremberg.

It was the world championship bronze medal-list's second big victory in nine days following his brilliant run in the Seville Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old Londoner now believes he can challenge world record holder Maurice Greene for the world 100m gold in Edmonton in August.

Olympic champion Jonathan Edwards won the triple-jump in Nuremberg, clearing 17.20m to beat British teammate Larry Achike and world champion Charles Fridek, of Germany.
