Camara joins Redknapp's Saints

14 April 2012

Henri Camara's record loan move to Celtic was today set to come to an end after he agreed to join Southampton until the end of the season, according to his agent.

The Wolves striker moved to Parkhead in August as Britain's most expensive short-term signing.

But he has since fallen out of favour with manager Martin O'Neill, who has cut his losses by offloading him to Southampton boss Harry Redknapp until the end of the season.

His agent Willie McKay said: "Yes (he has signed for Southampton on loan). We are down here now."

But the south-coast outfit insist the deal is still to be completed.
"He is currently at the stadium," said a spokesman for the club. "But no deal has been completed just yet."

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey confirmed talks between them, Celtic and Southampton had taken place.

He said: "We are in talks but nothing will happen unless we're completely satisfied the deal is to the benefit of Wolves."
