Boucher's ton steals the show

13 April 2012

Stand-in captain Mark Boucher hit 134, including 21 boundaries, as South Africa were all out for 367 on the opening day of a four-day tour match against Western Australia.

The home side reached two without loss in reply by the close.

Former Australia Test fast bowler Matthew Nicholson took 5-68 while Jacques Rudolph made 59 for the visitors.

Boucher took over the South Africa captaincy from Shaun Pollock, who opted to rest ahead of the three-Test series against Australia which starts next week.
