Blackburn v QPR

14 April 2012

(3pm, Ewood Park).
Away ticket info: £17 (£7 juniors). On sale at Darwen End (from 1-1.30pm)
Last season: 0-2 (Wardley, Gallen)
Fact: Rangers have now gone 12 outings without winning, but have failed to score in just one of those 12 games
Recommended pub: Fox and Hounds (Ewood Triangle)
Without a win away from Loftus Road this season and coming off the back of a 5-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, crumbs of comfort are thin on the ground for Gerry Francis's side. There was some consolation, though, in the form of beanpole striker Peter Crouch, who scored both QPR's goals at Hillsborough. Crouch, it seems, looks a little like Rodney Trotter and, if he carries on scoring at that rate, this time next year, he could be a millionaire! Rangers have not won since the end of September and and Francis knows the task ahead is a tough one: "Blackburn is another tough game, but the situation is similar to when I arrived here. We have just got to claw and fight our way out of it." Clarke Carlisle will have a fitness test after he sustained a chest injury against Wednesday.
VERDICT: BLEAK MID-WINTER FOR QPR
