X Factor reject Amelia Lily is returning to the hit show this weekend as a guest of judge Kelly Rowland.

The former Destiny's Child star dumped the 16-year-old from the show last weekend when each judge had to reject one of their own acts.

Writing on the X Factor online, she said: "It was extremely hard to say goodbye to Amelia because I have really gotten to know my girls and they are my babies. I will stay in touch for sure. In fact, she is coming to this weekend's show as my guest".

Amelia, who broke down on Sunday's live show when Rowland dropped her, said her elimination felt like "having your heart ripped out".

The teenager, from Middlesbrough, said Rowland had promised to help her with her musical career.

She said: "It is literally the hardest thing you could possibly ever go through in your life. It is like having your heart ripped out.

"It's terrifying being stood on that stage in front of a nation watching you, not knowing whether you are going to be saved or you're just going to go home."

She is planning to write and record her own songs - and she said Rowland had indicated there were people in the music industry already keen to work with her.
