8pm, ITV1

This is the week's only episode of the police soap and, as if making up for lost time, the plotlines are crammed together like sardines in a group hug.

A robbery on the Cole Lane Estate prompts Pc Gabriel Kent, never the brightest blue lamp in the box, to implement his own form of justice - which makes the situation worse. D'oh.

Sam calls in a police profiler to help track down the serial killer. Plus, Honey Harman and Cameron Tait deal with a human-size koala bear threatening to commit suicide.

There are other plots, too - in fact, the police officers are kept so busy that we manage not to hear anything of their sex lives. Phew. There's not many weeks in The Bill when that happens.
