Taylor Swift voiced her concern over items being thrown at her on stage during her recent Eras Tour stop in Buenos Aires.

The 33-year-old sat at her moss-covered piano during the Evermore section of her setlist when something flew on stage and landed with a thud behind her.

In response to the flying object, Swift voiced concern about the behaviour, admitting that it “freaks her out” and asked her adoring fans to refrain from doing it in the future.

The Shake It Off hitmaker began: “Just because communication means having gentle, healthy boundaries.

“It really freaks me out when stuff gets thrown on the stage because if it’s on the stage then a dancer can trip on it.

“I love that you bought presents and that is so nice, but just, can you please not throw them on the stage. I love you so much.”

Her gentle exchange was captured by fans who shared it on social media, where it has since gone viral and many have praised the Grammy winner for how she handled the situation.

One notable comment shared on X, formerly Twitter, read: “So glad she was so open about it! it’s sooo important!!!

“Hopefully that will stop people from throwing stuff on stage for any artist… anyone could trip or slip on it!’ another wrote in reference to the spat of on stage attacks.”

Previously, Swift has had friendship bracelets thrown at her after gigs, with footage of her cowering as she dodged the accessories, which are traded at her tour, going viral.

The star is the latest performer to fall victim to things being thrown at her on-stage. During the summer artists like Ava Max, Harry Styles, Kelsea Ballerini, and Pink were struck by gig-goers invading the stage or throwing items at them.

Bebe Rexha was struck in the eye with a phone during a concert in New York City, which resulted in an arrest.

Despite many asking for items not to be thrown on stage, Drake has encouraged the throwing of underwear and soft items during his performances.
