Pop star Sir Cliff Richard offered his villa in Barbados to Tony Blair and his family as a holiday venue because he felt sorry for the Prime Minister.

Sir Cliff said he had seen Mr Blair 'wither' in the aftermath of the Iraq War.

'I saw him on television and it seemed to me he was suffering the results of his decision,' he said.

'I just felt sorry for him.'

The veteran Living Doll singer's revalation came in an interview with The Spectator magazine
