Shiloh in £5m wrangle
Legal tussles and multi-million dollar photo deals are all in a day's work for A-list celebrities - even if they're just 12 days old.
During her short existence, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's baby has already raised millions of dollars for charity and in true Hollywood style is already involved in a lawsuit.
The first shots of Shiloh Nouvel, taken at a private photo shoot, were distributed by Getty Images with all proceeds going to charity.
People magazine in the United States and Hello! in Britain won the bidding war, paying millions for the exclusive rights. Hello! goes on sale today.
The exact figures are not known but experts estimate it could be as much as £5million ($8million).
However, like many stars, the baby's shots are already the subject of a legal battle. The magazines have gone to court to make two gossip websites take down an image of Hello!'s front cover which they posted on the Net.
'Stories have appeared suggesting Hello! magazine leaked an image of the cover to its forthcoming issue. This allegation is false. Hello! has taken immediate legal action to prevent publication of its cover,' the magazine said in a statement.
PHOTO DEALS GONE WRONG
- Catherine Zeta Jones complained she 'felt violated' when pictures of her wedding to Michael Douglas were published in Hello! magazine. The Welsh actress said the grainy photos in 2000 were unauthorised. 'I felt violated and that something precious had been stolen from me,' she told a court. The image that caused the most upset was of the bride eating cake.
- Anthea Turner claimed she was traumatised by her chocolate-eating wedding photo in OK!. The presenter was paid £250,000 for exclusive rights to her 2000 wedding to Grant Bovey. OK! released one photo of the couple eating Snowflake bars, demanding the caption include a plug for the mag and Cadbury. The Sun branded the stunt 'sickening - the worst wedding photo ever'.
