Rugby star Gavin Henson vandalised a pub toilet following a Grand Slam victory booze-up, he has admitted.

The Welsh international, who dates Charlotte Church, was driven home by police after he scuffled with door staff.

Henson, 23, blamed the incident on Wales' team bosses who told him to go to a function in the Cardiff pub hours after he celebrated beating Ireland by getting drunk with team-mates.

He said: 'I was out of order. But if I had been left to myself, I'd have spent a quiet Sunday recovering from the night before.'

The revelation comes in his book, My Grand Slam Year.
