It was a modern-day tale of David and Goliath on Love Island last night. Diminutive Hollyoaks star Lee Otway took on 2.03m (6ft 8in) basketball legend Dennis Rodman over the honour of fellow contestant, Colleen Shannon.

Otway was furious when he heard Rodman had told Shannon that he was going to 'f*** her'. Rodman's intentions were revealed in a game in which Love Island veteran Paul Danan did an impression of the sportsman saying the raunchy line.

Outraged that Rodman should speak to 'his girl' in such a way, Otway decided to stand up to the sporting giant, against everyone's advice. He said: 'Den, I'm a bit worried about something.

'It's something that Paul said initially. He said that you'd said some things to Colleen that were inappropriate.

'He's been imitating you saying you're going to f*** her and rather than keep it to himself he's told Colleen and now she's got really upset.'

Rodman's reaction surprised everyone. He promptly quit the ITV show saying: 'I came here for a few days to chill out but, if this is going to start, I'm outta here.'
