Olly Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have welcomed their first child, daughter Madison.

The Troublemaker singer announced her safe arrival on Instagram on Wednesday, alongside a photo of the couple leaving the hospital hand-in-hand while Murs proudly carried the baby basket.

He captioned the joyous social media update: “‘Our mini murs has arrived. Madison we love you so much already x.”

The Heart Skips A Beat hitmaker was inundated with well wishes from the couple’s famous friends and fans.

Radio presenter Mark Wright commented: “Buzzing for you both guys. Love yas x.”

“Congratulations you guys,” penned former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison.

Capital DJ Sonny Jay added: “Congratulations the pair of you.”

In December, the couple who got married last July, announced they were expecting their first child.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the former X Factor star could be seen pointing excitedly at his wife's growing belly, which he captioned “Baby Murs due 2024”.

Throughout the pregnancy, Murs, 39, kept fans updated on their baby preparations, even sharing an Instagram Story showcasing their impending arrival’s wardrobe, while his wife Amelia, 31, also shared a touching video capturing her husband's reaction to the pregnancy news.

Following their festival-themed nuptials, Essex-born Murs made no secret of his desire to become a dad.

The former X Factor finalist told Hello! Magazine: "We’re ready to have our own little Murs running around.

"It’s so special that we’ll be able to take our kids to Osea Island one day and say, 'This is where we got married'.”

Meanwhile, in a different interview with OK! Magazine, he said: "I’m not sure I’m going to go for six kids, but of course I’d love to have children."
