He may be single again, but actor Jude Law more than made up for it when he was flanked by his two gorgeous co-stars at the premiere of their new film.

Cameron Diaz, 34, and Kate Winslet, 31, put their arms around Law, 33, who is said to have finally split with his on-off girlfriend actress Sienna Miller, 24.

The Hollywood heartthrob, who was nursing a sore throat at tonight's premiere, plays Diaz's love interest in the film, The Holiday.

Law, dressed in a Christian Dior suit, was too ill to talk to the press.

But Diaz, who in real life is happily hooked up with singer star boyfriend Justin Timberlake, 25, gushed about her co-star Law: "He's very much like the character in the film.

"He's lovely, warm, charismatic and talented, all the things you hope he is."

Newly brunette Diaz, who was wearing a black Gucci dress embroidered with small pieces of mirror at the front, said: "I like my hair colour and I'm going to keep it. It's going to stay a while."

In the film Diaz does a house swap from LA to the English countryside for Christmas.

But the star, who admitted Timberlake had not seen her new movie, said she was spending Christmas with her family although she would like an invite to George Clooney's villa on Lake Como because it is so beautiful.

Winslet, who was wearing a Valentino layered skirt and matching top, said of her love interest in the film, Jack Black: "He's gorgeous.

"I'm very much more drawn to men that have a wonderful ability to make you laugh. He's a really funny guy."

The Titanic star, happily married to American Beauty director Sam Mendes, said of Diaz: "She gets the most out of her life. She gets fun out of every day."

The actress said she would not go brunette and that she would not consider plastic surgery, saying: "I look terrible with dark hair. It's been dark in films before and it just makes me depressed.

"I really don't know much about plastic surgery to be honest, but it certainly isn't for me. I'd like to grow old with my face moving."

The mother of two said of being back in London: "I'm a Brit. This is my place. I love it here."

The actress, who made her name in period dramas, said about making a contemporary film and having a British accent in it: "You've got no protection at all.

"It's very frightening to say the least. I felt very exposed. It's very intimidating and a feeling that I think takes some getting used to."

Others at the charity premiere in Leicester Square included I'm A Celebrity .... Get Me Out of Here! star Scott Henshall and Nell McAndrew.
