Lana Del Rey has been caught on video working at a Waffle House in Alabama.

The 38-year old singer was filmed by a fan as she made coffee behind the counter in the popular Florence Waffle House wearing a uniform and name tag.

In the clip, the star, who recently headlined Glastonbury Festival, is heard saying: “Oh look at this guy! Oh God, Charlie don’t film him without his permission."

An Alabama resident named Karina Cisneros Juarez wrote on Facebook alongside a snap of her at the restaurant: “To say I am ecstatic is an understatement!”

“I have been a huge fan of Lana Del Rey for over a decade, so meeting her today was truly insane,” he also told local website AL.com: “It was a bit surreal. I just told her how much I loved her music and her work in general. She was super lovely, and incredibly nice.”

Another fan, Vanson Clendenin, poated a snap of himself with the star and captioned it: “Today was actually insane! Lana you are a legend and thanks for serving me at the local Florence Waffle House!”

The reason the acclaimed singer took on the restaurant shift is not known. However, some fans have suggested the move wasn’t for publicity or a project, but her being “humble” or wanting to be “normal”.

One person tweeted: “She’s humble. I respect it.” Another wrote: “She just wants to be normal. I feel her.”

A third said: “Imagine just going to eat and Lana Del Rey is your waitress.” While a fourth commented: “Singer, actress, waitress, 10 minute songs, Waffle House employee. What is it Miss Lana Del Rey can’t do?”

Back in 2021,  Del Rey said while accepting Variety’s Artist of the Decade Award that she was “very flexible” and had “other job opportunities” away from music.
