Kate Bosworth and Justin Long opted for an “impromptu and casual” wedding in lieu of a larger affair after the Blue Crush star “couldn’t wait to marry” the actor, according to a new report.

The couple confirmed their engagement in April after they first sparked speculation while attending Vanity Fair’s annual Oscars party in March.

Yet, the pair surprised fans again after Long, 45, seemingly confirmed on his podcast that they had secretly wed, calling the 40-year-old his “now-wife”.

Following the comments, they also appeared to be wearing bands on their ring fingers in photos shared by Bosworth on Instagram.

Shedding light on their wedding, a source confirmed to Page Six that the pair opted for a spur-of-the-moment ceremony at The Rockaway Hotel in Queens after attending an event in the venue for Bosworth collaboration with Roxy.

The insider told the outlet: “They fell in love with the vibe of the hotel, and they decided to get married the next day right then and there!”

They added that the pair held “a very low-key ceremony. Onlookers thought it was an engagement photo shoot of some sort – not an actual wedding.”

Opening up about their short engagement, a source then told People that they decided to wed quickly, simply because Bosworth “couldn’t wait to marry Justin” after he popped the question.

The source stated that the actress “knew that she never wanted a big wedding. She just cared about being married.”

“They kept talking about eloping. They ended up having an impromptu and casual wedding a few weeks ago. It was perfect,” they added.

The Standard has contacted Kate Bosworth and Justin Long’s reps for comment.

Previously, the couple, who met while filming House of Darkness in 2021, opened up about their engagement on Long’s podcast in April.

Long revealed he had planned a “special thing” around his other half’s 40th birthday in January, but that around a month before, personal circumstances had thrown them off course – and instead he asked her casually one morning.

“We were trying to move through things at the time and she gave us a really great piece of advice which was, ‘Make sure that you’re pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need’,” she recalled.

“I remember waking up not so many mornings after that therapy session and I looked at Justin… I smiled at you, and I said, ‘What do you need?’

“And he really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you’. And I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that’, and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you’.”

Long admitted: “The words just came out so naturally.”

Reflecting on the moment, Bosworth said: “I thought it was the most romantic and honest and loving proposal.”

The actress was previously married to filmmaker Michael Polish from 2013 to 2021 while Long formerly was in relationships with Drew Barrymore and Amanda Seyfried.
