Cancer-battling Jade Goody was described as the 'best mum in the world' by her young son as she began married life, her publicist Max Clifford said today.

The reality TV star, who has been given just weeks to live, enjoyed a day of 'laughter and tears', with her two children at the heart of the lavish ceremony in Essex.

Brave: Jade Goody had her dream wedding

Goody's dream wedding to Jack Tweed was attended by around 200 guests including television personalities Richard Madeley, Judy Finnigan and Paul O'Grady - and also included a performance from girlband the Sugababes.

Mother-of-two Goody was reportedly dosed with painkillers for the 45-minute service at the Down Hall Country Hotel near Hatfield Heath.

Wearing a £3,500 Makado gown, she is said to have stood for virtually the whole service before being being forced to sit down from fatigue and emotion. Her young sons then sat on her knees.

Today, Clifford told GMTV: 'It was a day she will never forget, but a day that everyone that was there won't ever forget. It was just absolutely beautiful.

'The boys were at the heart of everything that happened yesterday, giggling and laughing and obviously having a wonderful day themselves.

'She's going to enjoy what time she has left with them because that's Jade and they're very close.'

He said the event was a 'day of laughter and tears' and thoughts were now turning to the boys' Christening, which is expected to take place next week.

The former Big Brother star sold the picture and TV rights of the ceremony for nearly £1 million, and she hopes to raise as much money as possible for her sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, from her previous relationship with TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
