Mike Tindall shared a loved-up selfie with wife Zara after they were reunited following his time on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former England rugby star, 44, posted the sweet snap of him and his 41-year-old wife, with whom he shares three children, on Instagram.

“Reunited!!!” he wrote alongside the image: “Back to normality and time to eat!!! Thanks for all the kind messages! It was a blast!”

It had been uncertain whether Zara — who is the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and 20th in the line to the throne — would be in Australia to greet Tindall when he left the jungle.

Princess Anne’s daughter was waiting with open arms, however, becoming the first royal to appear on the ITV show.

That must have been some consolation for Tindall, who finished fourth to narrowly miss out on a place in the final.

Former health secretary Matt Hancock, Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner and ex-England football star Jill Scott were the three finalists, with the latter crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Speaking to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after being told of her success, Scott said: “I just can’t believe it. Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes she’s done.

“We were one big team. I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through it without all of us.”

ITV has since confirmed that this year’s I’m A Celebrity final had the highest viewing figures since 2018.

Some 10.1 million viewers tuned in to Sunday’s show, just short of the average of 10.9 million who watched football manager Harry Redknapp win the reality show four years ago.

This year’s total is an increase of 3.6 million viewers on the 2021 final, which involved celebrities staying in a Welsh castle.
