Hayden Panettiere filming story of killer ‘Foxy Knoxy’ for TV

Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere is filming in Rome for her latest role as Amanda Knox, the American found guilty of murdering Surrey exchange student Meredith Kercher.

The TV film, called Lifetime, will focus on events surrounding the death of Miss Kercher, 21, from Coulsdon, who was found with her throat cut in 2007 in the house she shared with Knox in Perugia in Italy. It is due to be shown in America next year. Panettiere, 21, and Paolo Romio, who plays Knox's Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, recreate the aftermath of the murder when Knox and Sollecito were filmed kissing and cuddling by news teams.

Knox, now 23, nicknamed "Foxy Knoxy", was jailed for 26 years in December last year and Sollecito, 26, got 25 years for his part in the killing. Drug dealer Rudy Guede, 23, got 30 years for the murder, reduced to 16 years on appeal.
