Flo Rida’s six-year-old son was left seriously injured after falling from the window of a fifth-floor apartment, according to reports.

The incident has been reported to have taken place on March 4 in New Jersey.

The rapper’s son Zohar Dillard, who has a rare neurological disorder, was hospitalised as a result, with multiple fractures in his pelvis and left foot, collapsed lungs, a lacerated liver and internal bleeding, according to reports.

According to Page Six, Flo Rida’s ex Alexis Adams filed a civil lawsuit on Monday pertaining to the incident involving their son.

Adams has claimed negligence of the Jersey City building, stating that it was equipped with “windows that posed a hazardous condition” prior, causing her son to fall.

Among the defendants named in the lawsuit are the owners and managers of the apartment, a construction company and a window installer.

Page Six reported that Adams is now seeking damages and medical bills for her son, along with attorney fees, following the incident.

Adams said in a statement: “As a single mom to a special-needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces.

“I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to wilful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures.”

Flo Rida’s representatives have not commented on the incident or lawsuit filed.

Zohar has suffered with Hydrocephalus since his birth in September 2016.

The condition is described as a build-up of excess fluid in the brain, putting pressure on the organ, causing brain damage. Symptoms include speech and mobility problems and learning difficulties.
