Anwar Hadid has sparked concern online with his apparent reaction to ex Dua Lipa going public with new boyfriend Romain Gavras.

The Cold Heart singer, 27, made her red carpet debut with the French director, 41, at the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Friday and they weren’t shy with showing their affection.

Shortly after, Hadid, 23, who did not specify who the post was aimed at, shared a gloomy-looking selfie with the disturbing message: “Trying to not to find and kill him.”

The model – who is the younger brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid – went on to share more concerning posts via his Instagram Stories.

Another selfie saw him smirking into a mirror, accompanied by the words: “I cant breathe”.

He also commented on some of his previous posts with a series of crying face emojis.

Hadid and Lipa called time on their two-year relationship at the end of 2021, with The Sun reporting that they had reached a “crisis” because they were “travelling so much.”

While they say that time is a healer, it appears that not enough has passed for Hadid, with a number of his followers rushing in to share their concern.

In another post, Anwar Hadid wrote ‘I can’t breathe’

“He’s obsessed...” wrote one person.

“WHAT OMG... Oh What does he want from her,” ponder another, while others outright asked who he was targeting with his posts.
