Drake teased fans that he wanted to take a moment to address certain “rumours”, days after the alleged leak of an X-rated video went viral.

The 37-year-old Canadian rapper, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, has been the topic of hot debate after a clip that seemingly showed him engaging in a sex act was shared online. It is unclear whether the footage is real, especially in light of the recent AI-generated “deepfake” pornographic images of Taylor Swift, which went viral last month.

The Jimmy Cooks hit-maker certainly hasn’t been in a hurry to say either way, so he certainly got the crowd’s attention at the Bridgestone Arena on the Nashville stop of his Big As The What Tour on Thursday. In footage captured by TikTok user bspen, Drake told his dying with suspense crowd: “I know y’all have been waiting on me to address this, so the rumours are true… my dad is here tonight!

“That’s what y’all been waiting on right?” he added, which was met by cheers from the crowd in response. The Evening Standard has contacted a representative for Drake for comment.

Prior to his stage tease, the closest Drake had come to seemingly acknowledging the clip came shortly after the clip first gathered buzz.

He did this by sharing a picture that appeared to be taken from the cockpit of a plane.

Given the racy clip is speculated to have been shot on his private jet, many following the drama took his post as a cheeky nod to that.

The caption certainly gave nothing away, reading: “Cashville I’m home.”
