Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly split up after seven months together.

The former One Direction star, 23, and the supermodel, 21, are thought to have gone their separate ways just a month after their red carpet debut at the Met Gala.

According to E! News, the pair called it quits after a series of rows but could still ‘reconcile’.

A source said: “Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow.

“It's all very unclear what's going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.”

The insider went on to claim that the pair had briefly split back in April after a falling out at Hadid’s birthday celebrations.

“During her birthday they were fighting,” said the source. “[They have] broken up and got back together a few times.”

According to reports, model Hadid is keen to work things out with the British singer.

“Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out. It's more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close,” said the source.

Malik and Hadid made their first official red carpet appearance as a couple at last month’s Met Gala in New York.

The pair became one of the main talking points of the event after Malik showed up wearing metal robot arms over his tuxedo, in keeping with the gala’s technology theme.

The couple first started dating late last year, after Hadid split from Joe Jonas and Malik called time on his relationship with Perrie Edwards.
