The Spice Girls are to reunite without Victoria Beckham for a 20th anniversary world tour, according to reports.

To mark 20 years since chart-topping debut single Wannabe was released, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell are thought to be reforming.

A source told The Sun: “There is a huge demand for the Spice Girls to get back together, especially with the nostalgia around the two-decade anniversary of their first release next summer.

“Mel B flew into London last month to secretly agree the plan with the other three girls. They should each make more than ten million pounds from this.”

Despite all five stars reuniting for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony back in 2012, it seems that Beckham doesn’t want to be part of the anniversary tour.

The insider added: “Victoria wishes the girls the best of luck. She is far too busy running her fashion brand and looking after her family to get back on a stage.”

While the band are yet to confirm the news, Mel B hinted at a potential comeback on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week.

When the host brought up the forthcoming milestone, the singer responded: “When you say it’s our twentieth anniversary coming up, it does make you think, ‘Oh, my gosh, it really has been that long.’”

“Hopefully, we’ll gather the troops around, and we’ll get to do something to celebrate it next year. It’s in my plan, I don’t know about anybody else’s.”

Admitting that all five girls were still close despite going down their own career paths, she added:

“I’ve got so many great memories. I got to tour the world with four of my best friends - even today we still all support each other. We like each other, and that's the most important part.”
