The Prodigy have paid tribute to their “brother” Keith Flint in their first post since confirming Flint’s tragic passing on Monday.

The band’s official Instagram account shared a throwback photo of Flint next to bandmate Liam Howlett hanging out in a bar.

“Two brothers on a night out..#theprodigy,” read the sad caption as fans rushed to send their condolences below and their fondest memories of the late Flint.

One wrote: “It's like a bad dream from which you try to wake up... RIP Keith, I hope you find your peace. You will be terrible missed here.”

Another said: “Rest easy Keith. Can’t imagine how you’re all feeling. Deepest sympathy.”

“Love you guys. Thanks for times I will never ever forget,” posted somebody else.

Others added their sadness at the terrible news, some saying they felt like “a part of them had died” having been fans for so many years.

Shortly after reports of Flint’s death first emerged at the beginning of the week, Howlett shared a snap of the Firestarter singer on the band's account and said that he was “confused and heartbroken” at what had happened.

“The news is true , I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend,” the artist wrote.
