Strictly stars Neil and Katya Jones appear to have put last year’s kiss scandal behind them in cosy Instagram posts from their trip to Russia.

The couple, who were rocked by split rumours last October after Katya was photographed kissing her Strictly dance partner Seann Walsh, put on a united front in the photos, which show the pair walking through the snow – and taking part in a snowball fight – in her home country.

Instagram Stories posted from both dancers’ accounts showed the pair jokily staging a fake “domestic,” in which they pretended to bicker about one another’s cooking abilities as they baked a cake.

The couple also shared sweet video clips which showed them playing with Katya’s two young nieces.

Earlier, Katya paid tribute to her husband in an emotional post, after he unexpectedly travelled to Russia to bring in the New Year with her family.

“New Year has always been a family time for me. I’ve been living away from home for 10 years. But I’ve not missed a single New Year’s celebration!!” she wrote. “I’m having a fantastic holiday with my loved ones, and even @mr_njonesofficial made it in time for celebration surprising us all! May this new 2019 be filled with love, laughter and joy!”

In his own New Year post, Jones reflected on an “amazing” year which also featured “some not so fantastic experiences.”

“I gained sooo many new friends but I also lost a few,” he wrote, in what many fans believed to be an allusion to the Strictly scandal.

In December, he confirmed that he and his wife were still going strong in an Instagram Q&A with fans.

When one follower asked him “Are you back with Katya?” the dancer stated that he’d “never been away” from her.
