Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot a rather local filming location in the brand new Star Wars: Rogue One trailer.

Despite being set in a galaxy far, far away, some fans spotted the fact that one scene was filmed inside a London tube station.

Just moments after the eagerly-anticipated teaser dropped on Thursday afternoon, people took to Twitter to work out which Jubilee Line station it was.

People were soon debating whether or not the station was Canary Wharf, Canada Water or North Greenwich.

One person wrote: “Is that the Jubilee line platform at North Greenwich at around 1:10, just before bad-ass Donnie Yen?”

Another posted: “Is it Canary Wharf? Is it North Greenwich? Who cares, it's Star Wars! (Also, it's Canary Wharf).”

“Was that bit in Rogue One filmed in a Jubilee Line station by any chance,” wrote someone else.

The scene shows new characters in the Star Wars spin-off dashing through what appears to be a space ship.

Cast including Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn were all spotted shooting scenes in London last year.

Rogue One, directed by Gareth Edwards, is set for release on December 16.
