Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley gets own waxwork in character as Rey at Madame Tussauds

Daisy Ridley has been immortalised in character as Rey at Madame Tussauds.

The British actress, 24, has now got her very own waxwork in the London museum, installed in the Star Wars room.

It has taken a total of 20 artists four months to create the waxwork, which has now had its finishing touches applied.

The figure is thought to have cost a staggering £150,000 to make and even uses real human hair.

Fans got a first look at the creation last month when it made a stop off at Lorraine’s chat show before being installed in the museum.

Rey stands next to her droid BB-8 in the exhibition, created just months after the box office success of The Force Awakens.

Ridley, who was plucked from obscurity to take on the role opposite fellow Brit John Boyega, has just finished filming the follow-up.

Fans will have quite a wait though as the eight instalment of the sci-fi franchise won’t actually be released until December 2017.

The actress recently deleted her Instagram after facing a barrage of comments after she spoke out in support of gun control.

Reinstalling the social media account to explain her decision, she told fans: “I just want to be on my phone less.

“Trying to be more present and all that and got a busy few months ahead so wanted less distractions...It's all good! :)”
