Prince played two more surprise shows as part of his Hit and Run tour last night at the Kings Place Arts Centre.

Prince and his band 3RDEYEDGIRL took to the stage to play a spellbinding 60-minute acoustic set consisting of rarely performed tracks, including classics such as Take Me With U and Raspberry Beret.

The gig at the venue in London's King's Cross was announced just hours before the star took to the stage, with fans hearing rumours on Twitter last night quickly rushing to join the queue.

The icon also took part in a Q&A session, answering questions from fans submitted prior to the show.

Acknowledging the massive demand, immediately after the show finished Prince announced that he would play another concert for the fans outside that hadn’t made it into the first performance.

The shows were the latest in Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL’s Hit and Run tour of London following spontaneous performances at Camden's Electric Ballroom and the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Details of additional shows were also announced last night, with the singer's management confirming shows at KOKO on Sunday and Ronnie Scotts jazz club in Soho on Monday. More dates are expected to be announced later.
