Keep your eyes peeled for Mike Tindall at the Royal Wedding – he may not be wearing a suit.

The rugby star, 39, has revealed plans to turn up to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day wearing a swimming costume emblazoned with Harry’s face.

Tindall joked that he could be swerving morning suits in favour of the unusual merchandise when the couple tie the knot at Windsor Castle’s St George’ Chapel on Saturday.

Speaking to Ronan Keating on the Magic Breakfast Show about his plans he said: “Did you see the swim suits? I sent Prince Harry a picture saying, ‘I’ve got a couple on order.’

“I play for Richmond Hampton Rugby club and one of the guys said, ‘I’ve ordered two, I'm gonna send it to you.’

“So I then said to Harry, I’m definitely going to be wearing it under my morning suit. So if it arrives on time, I'll definitely rock that look, but I'm not sure I'll have it on time.”

Tindall will attend the nuptials with his wife Zara Phillips, who is Harry's cousin. He said the thinks Harry will throw in a few surprises.

Tindall will be among 600 guests invited to attend the ceremony at midday on Saturday.

Sir Elton John is also reportedly set to perform at the ceremony or the reception almost 21 years after he performed Candle in the Wind at Princess Diana's funeral.

Over 2000 members of the public have been invited to watch the soon-to-be newlyweds arrive at the historic venue.
