Harry Styles has further thrown his sexuality into question after revealing that when looking for love, being female is “not that important”.

The One Direction heartthrob - who has an army of followers desperate to date him – took part in a Q&A with fellow band mate Liam Payne to promote their new autobiography, One Direction: Who We Are.

When questioned on the four traits they look for in a girl, Liam replied “Female” to which Harry said: “Not that important.”

Rumours surrounding the 20-year-old’s sexuality and supposed relationship with Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw circulated last year after the Midnight Memories singer told GQ that he was “pretty sure” he’s not bisexual.

Social media has now gone in to another meltdown with some fans being quick to dismiss the comment as a joke, while others have been declaring their support for the star, should he reveal that he is bisexual.

One Youtube user commented: “of you still believe that Harry is straight then there's something wrong with you.”
