Alt-J, Portishead and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline this year’s Latitude Festival, it was announced today.

The event will celebrate its 10th year when it returns to Henham Park in Suffolk from 16-19 July.

Comedians on the bill include Jack Dee, Alan Davies and Jason Manford, while the arts world will be represented by Sadler’s Wells and the National Portrait Gallery.

Organisers will be hoping that Gallagher, right, and Alt-J settle their differences by the summer after the guitarist said this week that the band “can f*** right off as far as I’m concerned”. He said of today’s announcement: “Well not only have I never played at Latitude before, but I’ve never even been there, ever. So yes. I’m really looking forward to headlining the festival on July 19.”

Alt-J said they were “hugely excited” to be returning for the third time, adding that “to go from playing the smaller stages to this means it will be a night of celebration”.
