Nadia Sawalha was caught out swearing as Loose Women lost out to This Morning at the National Television Awards.

The ITV shows were vying for the Best Live Magazine gong which went to This Morning, fronted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

As the camera focused on the Loose Women panellists Sawalha was caught telling a friend: “Every f****** year! EVERY f****** year!”

The win marked This Morning’s 12th NTA trophy, while Loose Women are trailing behind with four.

Willoughby and Schofield joked that they would not repeat last year’s celebrations which saw them present This Morning hungover and wearing the same clothes as the night before.

Schofield said: “This frock is going to look amazing with piccalilli all over it. Obviously we shamed ourselves last year, and we’re not going to do that again this year.

“We’re going to get tattoos!”

Willoughby said: “What are you doing to us you crazy people. We love love love doing this show we really do. I love working with Phil every day and I’m so lucky to sit next to my best friend every day. Thank you so much.”

Schofield also paid tribute to Denise Robertson who died in March last year following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Speaking about the late agony aunt, Schofield said: “On a serious note. This time last year we had Denise Robertson on the stage with us and we really miss her. So this is for Denise Robertson this year.”

The duo partied at the Groucho Club in London until 4am before heading to bed to rise bright an early for their stint on Thursday's This Morning.
