Michael Bublé is set to make his musical comeback next year after putting his career on hold following his son’s cancer diagnosis.

The Canadian crooner will headline the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park next July, in what will be his first performance since son Noah, four, was diagnosed with liver cancer in November 2016.

“This is a sure-fire sign Michael’s big return is happening. He’s not going to play hundreds of gigs, he’ll ease himself back into it,” a source told The Sun.

“The Hype Park gig is likely to be his only UK show in 2018.”

Bublé has been scheduled to host the Brit Awards last February, but pulled out of all public engagements to concentrate on his son’s recovery.

His wife Luisana Lopilato recently confirmed that the “worst was over” in their son’s cancer battle after what had been a “long process”.

“There are things that happen in life that make you realise that the most important things that you think are important, really aren’t,” she said in an interview on Argentinian TV.

“The most important thing is to have faith and to be strong. There are nights that I still don’t sleep and I pray to God because it’s still a long process and the worst is over. Thank God.”

The entertainer is the third headline act to be announced for the BST festival series after Pink Floyd star Roger Waters and Bruno Mars.

Michael Buble will headline British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 13 2018.
