Ellie Brown has spilled the beans on her argument with Charlie Brake, saying she was left fuming with him after he got drunk before the Love Island: Aftersun reunion show.

Brown, who met Brake in the villa, addressed reports claiming the pair had had an explosive row last weekend after viewers picked up on the frosty atmosphere between them.

Brown explained the situation, saying Brake received a grilling from herself and ITV bosses after spending the day drinking pints and tequila with fellow islander Frankie Foster.

“Basically Charlie got too drunk and Ellie was sober,” she told ITN. “He wasn’t just in trouble with me, we’ll put it that way. I was fuming with him, ITV was fuming with him. He got too drunk before Aftersun, which is not good when you’re going on live TV. He was in trouble.”

Explaining his version of events, Brake said: “Me and Frankie had an absolute ball that day. We met in a pub and had a few jars and decided to go shopping and thought it would be a great idea to wear the same outfit to the event. Turns out the producers weren’t too happy.”

A source previously told The Sun that the couple were “screaming” at each other by the end of the night, with reports that their relationship is “on the rocks”.

But Brown insisted that the pair are on good terms, saying: “We’re OK he just got too drunk.”

Brown and Brake are not the only couple to be plagued by split rumours after Paul Knops and Laura Anderson fans feared they had called time on their short romance after posting solo pictures online.

But Anderson hit back with a video of herself and “stud muffin” Knops on the way to Heat Radio.
