Love Island’s Ellie Brown bursts into tears during a heated row with ex-boyfriend Charlie Brake in a new clip from the Christmas Reunion show.

The snippet from tonight’s one-off special shows teases a tense exchange between the former couple, who announced their split in September, as they discuss the circumstances of their break-up.

Brown fights back tears as she calls her fellow Islander “a compulsive liar” and accuses him of cheating on her during their brief relationship.

“You cheated on me, with that nightclub girl, I was devastated and I loved you to bits. What you put on your [Instagram] story was disrespectful and insensitive and it was too soon,” she says, before hiding her face from the cameras and being comforted by former contestants Zara McDermott and Megan Barton-Hanson.

Brake denies her claims in the clip, telling his ex: "I never cheated on you."

"I can’t believe you’re lying about that night," she continues.

Following widespread reports of a split, Brake confirmed that he had parted ways with Brown in a brief statement posted on Instagram earlier this year.

“Just to inform you all, Ellie and I have decided to part ways. I wish her all the best!” he wrote.

Shortly afterwards, it was reported that he had been spotted with another woman at a London restaurant, having told Brown that he planned to spend the night at his mother’s house in Kent.

Brown responded with her own statement and “begged” fans to stop sending her critical articles on social media.

“I beg you to please stop coming to me with articles that claim I brought this on myself,” she wrote.

“I am trying to deal with this as best and as quietly as possible but it is hard and if you really believe that you are just as cowardly as the person who said it.

“By no means am I saying I was the perfect girlfriend but I adored Charlie from the bottom of my heart and he knows that. I know everybody is waiting for a comment from me on this whole situation but I really just don’t even know what to say.”
