Ruth Langsford was forced to apologise on Loose Women after Danniella Westbrook’s son accidentally swore.

Kai, 20, turned the air blue as he recalled how he kicked down a bathroom door to reach his unconscious mother after she overdosed before Christmas.

Recalling the incident he said: “That was a banger that one wasn’t it.”

He then said something that was bleeped out by producers, but it was clearly a swear word as he held his hands over his mouth and apologised.

“Oh sorry excuse my language,” he said. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

Motherly love: Kai with his mother Danniella Westbrook

Westbrook smacked him on the shoulder and pretended to strangle him before saying: “Sorry, that was a banger.”

Apologising at the end of the segment Langsford said: “We do apologise for that little bit of language. Kai was nervous. Obviously no offence meant.”

The young rapper was on the show to talk about living with a parent with a drug addiction.

Kai said he doesn’t worry about his mother when she is alone but said he tries to “steer” her in the “right direction”.

Giving advice to children who may be in similar situations he said: “All I can tell you is you’re going to have to ride it out. You’ve been brought into the world but you make your own decisions.”

Proud: Kai described his mother as an "inspiration"

Kai recorded a message for his mother ahead of his appearance on the show in which he described her as an “inspiration”.

He said: “Mum I know you’ve made mistakes but who hasn’t?

“I’m super proud of you, you’re only human. I know a lot of people have always put you down but I know you’ve always had the confidence to get back up.

“I’m always going to be there for you no matter what.

“You’re also a big inspiration to me but at the same time can be a huge aggravation to me. I love you loads. Your son, Kai.”
